The Automatic Timer allows both laptop cart electrical units to be plugged into the timer and to be powered from a single wall outlet. The timer switches the electrical current from one electrical unit to the other, preventing circuit overload. To avoid tripping of electrical unit breakers, the consistent amperage draw should average 12 amps, with no more than a 15 amperage draw for short periods. The 18, 24, and 30-unit carts require a separate power circuit for each electrical post when the Automatic Timer is not used. Not for use on LAP20ULH or LAP30ULV carts. Timer is resettable and ships standard with a four-hour charging period per electrical unit.

• UL states that the maximum number of notebook computers that may be safely charged from the same electrical circuit is 15 (less than 1 amp per laptop) so the laptop automatic timer unit switches current from one notebook cart electrical unit to the other, allowing all notebooks to be charged from the same electrical circuit
• Timer is UL listed for safety for use with 15 amp wall circuit
• Mounts inside the laptop storage cart door
• Laptop cart electrical units plug into each side of the timer, providing up to 12 hours charging time for each electrical unit. Timer is perfect for 2 hour charging cycles with a total of 24 hours charging time. Requires a minimal of 2" clearance on the left and right side panels for electrical unit plugs
• Automatic timer unit comes with a 7' grounded power cord that exits the bottom of the unit. Requires a minimal of 2" clearance for the cord
