Drawing a Blank?

Don't draw a blank this summer! Be ready when it comes time to create activities for summer students or daycare children.   Jonti-Craft, maker of quality preschool and daycare furniture, has put together a jazzy presentation with ideas for arts and crafts projects to keep little ones engaged.   These tips are to help supplement one of their many preschool art room easels. Jonti-Craft Two Student Easel

Jonti-Craft has identified several developmental goals that can be reached by the use of art education.  Strengthening hand-eye coordination, fine-motor skills and following directions are skills that students can implement in any academic arena.   When working on group art products, students practice cooperation and can convey creative ideas and preferences through art. Several projects are detailing in the presentation that work great with their See-Thru Easel.  One titled "Listen to the Music", invites the student to translate sounds into paintings. Play a musical recording near the easel and give the students a variety of  paint colors.  Have the students use the paint to reflect the dynamics of the music. Be sure and view the entire presentation by Jonti-Craft.
