Feeling Fashionable- Get Our Look!

The life of an institutional furniture peddler is not always the most glamorous. But after being mentioned this week on Apartment Therapy and included in a New York Post's Alexa luxury insert, we're feeling pretty fashionable around the office. It's no surprise really, we've seen a huge change in what schools are purchasing this year, verses 5 to 10 years ago. Furniture manufacturers like Smith System and Marco Group are making classroom furniture more accessible in designer styles and inspiring colors. While we have all of the rectangular shaped tables you could ever need, the trend now is to include fun shaped tables and student desks that can be reconfigured just as fast as fashion trends change. And then there are the classics. Both Apartment Therapy and the New York Post actually referenced some of our classic chair designs, that just never go out of style. The timeless lines of the steam-bent oak library chair are about as classic as they come. Available in several natural wood finishes, these chairs can also be ordered in modern Sherwin-Williams paints for an injection of color. The newly renovated Reading Room at the New York Public Library was restored and featured the Boston oak chair as a way to 'get the look' of its 1911 Beaux Arts design. New York Post Reading Room- Get the Look Who doesn't love industrial looking furniture- besides sweet, doily loving Grandma? Apartment Therapy spotlighted our tried and true metal folding chair in an on-trend golden bronze color. The metal material compliments the wood and arid desert color scheme perfectly. It's part of the minimal and airy Arizona Adobe Style that begs for a trip to your local nursery to buy ALL the succulents.

Golden Chair on Apartment Therapy If you are into high fashion and luxury furniture design, Worthington Direct may not always be first on your shopping list. But, perhaps all you need is just a bit of inspiration, and we have plenty of that.
