The 444 Library Chair has been around for many years. Originally used as a teacher's desk chair because of its larger size, it has transitioned into a full-use library chair as well. The top back is steam-bent and is rounded across the top for form and comfort. The two smaller backs are steam-bent as well for added support for your lower back. The chair is mortise and tenon construction on all joints; all edges are rounded and sanded. The seat is saddled for contour and comfort. Overall the chair is larger by about 2" in width than the 300-series chairs and can accommodate the largest student or adult. Manufactured completely in the USA.
