Which stool height is right for your table?

When ordering stools for use with a table, the stool seat height should be approximately 10 to 12 inches from the underside of the tabletop. This allows proper space for a person's knees to fit comfortably under the table while seated.


While sizes will vary from stool to stool and person to person, here are Worthington Direct's general guidelines:


  • 18" Stools = 30" H Tables
  • 24" Stools = 36" H Tables
  • 30" Stools = 42" H Tables
