The smooth rounded edges of Whitney Brothers’ hardwoods and veneers employ the strongest woodworking joints and are finished by hand. They also design extra-wide spaces between doors and frames and use full-length continuous hinges to prevent little fingers from getting pinched, as demonstrated by the Dramatic Play items. Special care is also given to ensure that all small parts such as knobs, handles, hooks, magnets, and moving parts are smooth, rounded, and firmly attached to prevent breaking free under rigorous use.
