The Children's Factory

The Children’s Factory was born in the attic of Mike and Barbara Richter in Kirkwood, MO in early 1982. Their vision was to create soft play environments in which children could safely play. The first product was a basic 3D animal shape sized perfectly for a child. From here other products developed and soon the company was growing at a fast rate. Today the company employs over 100 people in a warehouse facility that encompasses over 100,000 square feet.

Soft, safe, creative play is their passion. All of The Children's Factory products are designed towards ASTM standards and their materials pass or exceed the CPSIA requirements. The Children’s Factory product line has been expanded to include Rainbow Rest Mats for Daycare centers around the country in addition to Rest Time Cots which are perfect for nap time.

Children's Factory bean bag chair selection has grown to meet the needs as flexible seating options rise to be the hottest trend in classroom and children's library areas. From floor pillows and traditional round bean bag chairs to high back bean bags, pillow pods, and floor poufs, Children's Factory has a soft seating solution for your school or preschool.
