Fatboy

About Fatboy

Fatboy redefines the boundaries of everyday design. What began with an iconic beanbag has grown into a distinctive collection of contemporary pieces for indoor and outdoor living—especially known for signature beanbags and durable outdoor furniture. Each Fatboy design is playful yet refined, inventive yet instantly recognizable.

The story of Fatboy started with the Original beanbag, designed by Finnish interior architect Jukka Setälä. While designing the Original, he listened to Fatboy Slim, which inspired the name Fatboy. A Dutch entrepreneur saw the potential of the design and, in 2003, acquired the exclusive selling rights. From that moment on, Fatboy began to grow, expanding the collection into a wide range of iconic designs that continue to shape everyday living.

Fatboy’s approach to design is rooted in creativity, comfort, and quality. The brand creates products that invite people to slow down, connect, and enjoy the spaces they live in—whether indoors or out. Together with an internal design team and a network of designers who share a belief in timeless design, Fatboy shapes collections filled with thoughtful details and refined craftsmanship. Every design is made to be a pleasure to look at and to live with, balancing form and function with ease.

At Fatboy, great design is meant to be loved, cared for, and enjoyed for years to come. That’s why the brand designs with circular principles in mind. Products are made from durable, high-quality materials and are designed to be easy to repair, maintain, and renew. With longevity as a guiding principle, each piece is built to stand up to real life—season after season.
