At Worthington Direct, we love seeing where our furniture ends up, but even more than that, we love hearing how customers are actually using it once it becomes part of their everyday operations.
That ongoing connection is an important part of how we work. A completed order is never just a transaction. It is the beginning of a longer relationship built on trust, service, and the shared goal of helping customers create spaces that work better for the people they serve.
That is why it was so exciting to hear back from Diondra, the Summerlin Library Performing Arts Center Coordinator, after her early 2025 purchase of padded folding chairs and a double-tier chair truck for the Library District Las Vegas-Clark County.
Supporting a Library System That Serves a Growing Community
The Library District Las Vegas-Clark County plays an important role in supporting learning, culture, and community connection across Southern Nevada. With 25 branches and a wide range of library-sponsored programs and events each year, the district serves a large and active community.
That broad reach also means their spaces need to support many different uses, from everyday programming to larger community gatherings and performances.
A Performing Arts Center That Needs Flexibility
One of those spaces is the Summerlin Library Performing Arts Center, a venue used for performances, classes, and community events. With programming that can vary from one event to the next, flexible seating and easy chair transport are an important part of keeping the space functional and event-ready.
The Products They Chose
To support those needs, Diondra purchased:
- 11 four-packs of National Public Seating padded folding chairs, for a total of 44 chairs
- One double-tier chair truck for transporting and storing the chairs
The padded folding chairs offer a comfortable, durable seating option that works well for performances, classes, and special event use. The matching chair truck helps staff move large groups of chairs more efficiently while also keeping storage organized when the chairs are not in use.
Real Feedback from the Customer
After the order was delivered and in use, our Sales Rep Jackie followed up with Diondra to see how everything was working out.
Here is what she shared:
“Good to hear from you! We use the chairs we bought in the theater for seating on stage for orchestras, drum circles, crystal bowl sound healing classes and crafting classes. I have over 100 chairs now and they come in really handy. I also do a festival indoor/outdoor for 8000 people and the chairs are used on the outdoor stage for some acts. The racks are really handy because they do not take up much room in my stage shop and they fit through our doors so we can easily roll the rack and use the chairs in the library too, usually during the festival.”
— Diondra, Summerlin Library Performing Arts Center Coordinator
That kind of feedback means a lot to us because it shows exactly what flexible event seating is meant to do: support changing needs, simplify setup, and help staff use their space more effectively.
More Than Chairs — A Tool for Programming
These chairs are not limited to one type of event or one fixed location. They are supporting:
- on-stage orchestra seating
- drum circles
- crystal bowl sound healing classes
- crafting classes
- outdoor festival performances
- library event use beyond the theater itself
That versatility is especially important in community-centered environments like libraries and performing arts spaces, where rooms often need to support multiple activities throughout the week.
In this case, the chairs are helping the Summerlin Library Performing Arts Center stay nimble. The truck makes it easy to move seating from the stage shop to the theater, through doorways, and into other library spaces when needed. It is a simple solution, but one that clearly has a real operational impact.
Why Customer Follow-Up Matters
Stories like this are exactly why customer follow-up is so important to us.
We genuinely want to know whether a product is doing what it needs to do after it arrives. Is it making setup easier? Is it helping staff work more efficiently? Is it improving how a space functions for events, learning, and community use?
When customers share that a product is working well in the real world, it helps affirm that we are we are helping support the environments where people gather, learn, perform, and connect.
And when a customer tells us a chair truck fits through the doors exactly as needed, saves valuable storage space, and helps support everything from sound healing classes to large-scale festivals, that is the kind of detail we love to hear.
Built for Community Use
Libraries continue to evolve far beyond traditional reading rooms. They are gathering spaces, performance venues, education hubs, and community anchors. That means library furniture and event seating often need to work harder, move faster, and adapt more often.
This customer story is a great example of how the right folding chairs and storage solution can support that mission. For the Summerlin Library Performing Arts Center, the padded chairs and chair truck are helping staff create comfortable, flexible seating arrangements for a wide variety of programs while keeping storage and transport manageable behind the scenes.
The Relationship Does Not End at Delivery
At Worthington Direct, we are always grateful when customers take the time to share how their spaces are working after installation. Those conversations remind us that the relationship does not stop once an order is placed and delivered.
We stay invested because we care about how each product performs in real spaces, for real people, long after it arrives.
Seeing these chairs in use at the Summerlin Library Performing Arts Center, and hearing how they continue to support performances, classes, and community events, is exactly the kind of customer story we love to celebrate.
