Worthington Direct’s leadership team — Jason Miles, President; Brian Heiland, Vice President; Crimson Allen, Director of Marketing; and Neely Rose, Director of Sales & Customer Service — took a quick trip to Neosho, Missouri, in mid-October to visit the factory and headquarters of school furniture manufacturer Marco Group.
Marco Group is a family-owned, American-made manufacturer shaping K–12 and higher education spaces for more than 25 years. From classrooms to band rooms, their school furniture and storage systems deliver durable, adaptable solutions.
Marco combines craftsmanship, service, and innovation to create learning environments where education and music truly take shape.
At Worthington Direct, we represent school and office furniture vendors across the nation. In today’s world of Zoom and Teams, it’s not often we get to connect in person with our partner vendors — but when we can, we seize the opportunity.
Marco’s owner, Richard Davidson, personally led us on a tour of their manufacturing facility, where we saw active orders being built at various stages of production. From raw materials to finished pieces, it was inspiring to witness the precision and pride that goes into every step.
Worthington Direct and Marco Group have been partners since 2013, and we’ve long known that Marco’s craftsmanship is among the best in the business. Whether it’s a desk, chair, or storage unit, each piece reflects attention to detail and a deep commitment to quality.
Still, seeing it in person — and hearing directly from Richard about the behind-the-scenes process — gave us a new appreciation for the expertise and care that define their work.
Before we wrapped up our tour and headed back to Dallas, Richard — who also serves as the Mayor of Neosho, Missouri — surprised us with a special honor. He presented Worthington Direct with a proclamation from the Office of the Mayor recognizing our “outstanding contributions to education.”
It read, in part:
“I, Richard Davidson, Mayor of Neosho, Missouri, do hereby recognize and commend Worthington Direct for its outstanding contributions to education, for its pivotal role in helping Marco Group establish its place as a leading manufacturer in the educational furniture market, and for its positive economic impact on the City of Neosho.”
What an incredible honor!
We deeply value our partnerships and relationships with all of our vendors — and it’s always rewarding to see firsthand the craftsmanship that forms the foundation of learning spaces across the country.
For us, it’s more than just taking and fulfilling orders. We believe in building strong partnerships rooted in trust, quality, and collaboration — so every customer, big or small, can feel confident that their furniture was crafted by the very best.
The trip also reinforced how collaboration drives innovation. From design to distribution, it’s these strong partnerships that allow us to continually enhance the learning environments of schools nationwide.
Every visit like this strengthens the connection between our teams and renews our shared commitment to excellence. We’re proud to work alongside partners who share our passion for quality, service, and innovation.
Here’s to continued partnerships, high-quality craftsmanship, and creating spaces where learning thrives.
