School Principals' Day began when Janet Dellaria, a teacher and social worker from Michigan, teamed up with the local Teachers Association to celebrate her school's principal. Dellaria declared May 1st School Principals' Day, and ever since, teachers, students, and community members around the country have celebrated.
School Principals' Day celebrates all of the work - often unseen - that principals do. Some of their responsibilities include:
